MATES WANT TO KNOW…

HOW WORKPLACES CAN BEST SUPPORT WORKERS’ WELLBEING

MATES would love an hour of your time to talk about wellbeing at work for our construction industry workers – that’s you! And we’ll thank you with a koha and some kai!

In collaboration with The University of Auckland and Victoria University of Wellington, and with funding from BRANZ, MATES is carrying out confidential 1-hour small group discussions (focus groups) over kai with the construction industry to understand the key stressors, and what could improve wellbeing at work for our industry.

These discussions will help MATES to write a report highlighting the key stressors workers are facing, and the types of initiatives that companies can implement to mitigate these stressors and support workers’ wellbeing.

The discussions and reports are confidential, meaning that no names or identifying information will be included.

This is a chance for your voice to shape wellbeing initiatives in the construction industry, in a relaxed environment with industry colleagues over kai.

Focus groups will be held in Auckland at the MATES offices in Penrose and in Wellington at Victoria University.

Please note: timing of focus groups and compensation have been carefully considered for minimal disruption to businesses and with higher compensation for on-site workers (e.g. apprentices, labourers).
