THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO SHARED THEIR VOICE FOR CHANGE BY TAKING THE MATES WELL-BEING SURVEY in 2025
This edition of the Well-being Survey was our biggest yet with more workers sharing their challenges and strengths, along with ideas for what needs to change, than we’ve ever had before.
MATES in Construction runs a Well-being Survey every two years to better understand the mental health and well-being of workers in our industry.
Submissions for this survey are now closed, with the results from this survey to be published on September 10, 2025 – World Suicide Prevention Day.
As ever, we cannot do this mahi alone. A big thank you to everyone who contributed their experience, shared the survey with their networks, led the way at your organisation and encouraged others to get involved.
We look forward to sharing these insights with you and using them to make positive and lasting change for each and every one of our workers.

While the Well-being Survey is now closed for submissions, there is still an opportunity for you to share your voice with us. If you’ve ever been involved with MATES before, we’d love to hear from you – whether it was positive, challenging, or somewhere in between.Every story helps us understand what’s working, what needs improving, and how we’re supporting workers on-site and off.
You can stay anonymous, and your story will be handled with care. Just share whatever you feel comfortable with.
THANK YOU TO OUR WELL-BEING SURVEY SUPPORTERS
This mahi wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support of our Supporters. Together, you’re helping us to amplify the voices of workers across the construction industry and create real, lasting change for their well-being.
