Why Partner with MATES?

Becoming a Partner of MATES in Construction enables you to be part of a programme tasked with reducing the number of people dying by suicide within our industry and creating a community within your workplace that is about MATES helping MATES.

Our programme will provide your workers with the tools to enable them to identify the signs and have the tough conversations with their MATES when they notice that someone may not be travelling well.

Partnership Options

By committing to partner and support MATES you are assisting to make a positive impact on the reduction of suicide across our NZ Construction Industry.  We have a variety of Partnership options to suit the needs of each organisation.  Options to partner with MATES NZ are outlined below, together with the benefits.

    FOUNDATION PARTNERS – contribution to be negotiated

    Investment includes:

    • Partners receive all the benefits of Associate Partners but in addition receive the ability to engage and train your people at a corporate office level and across your projects. This will empower your community to watch out for their mates through the MATES Programme.
    • The opportunity for the Industry Partner’s management and staff teams to participate in at least four GAT sessions per year, conducted at their premises by a member of the MATES in Construction Management/Field Officer team. Connector training provided to those that self-elect.
    • ASIST training – facilitation at an additional cost.
    • The ability to engage a Field Officer as a Relationship Manager to offer a tailored approach to deliver MATES across your business or a specified project.
    PARTNER – contribution to be negotiated

    Investment includes:

    • Partners receive all the benefits of Associate Partners but in addition receive the ability to engage and train your people at a corporate office level. This will empower them to watch out for their mates through the MATES Programme.
    • The opportunity for the Industry Partner’s management and staff teams to participate in at least one GAT session per year, conducted at their premises by a member of the MATES in Construction Management/Field Officer team. Connector training provided to those that self-elect.
    • ASIST training – facilitation at an additional cost.
    PREMIUM PARTNERS – contribution to be negotiated

    Investment includes:

    • Partners receive all the benefits of Associate Partners but in addition receive the ability to engage and train your people at a corporate office level. This will empower them to watch out for their mates through the MATES Programme.
    • The opportunity for the Industry Partner’s management and staff teams to participate in at least three GAT sessions per year, conducted at their premises by a member of the MATES in Construction Management/Field Officer team. Connector training provided to those that self-elect.
    • ASIST training – facilitation at an additional cost.
    ASSOCIATE PARTNER – contribution to be negotiated

    Investment includes:

    • Your partner logo and status level will be included at all training sessions.
    • Your logo promoted via website and electronic communications, including a statement outlining your support for MATES in Construction NZ and links to your own website.
    • Opportunity to invite MATES to speak at company conferences. (subject to availability).
    • Use of MATES in Construction Partners logo on your promotional material to demonstrate your commitment to suicide prevention in the Construction Industry.
    • The opportunity to take part in “Fly the Flag Day” to show your support to MATES and suicide prevention in the industry.
    • Invites to MATES in Construction national and regional events.
    • Access to MATES collateral for your workplace.
