The MATES BSM Roadie Blog – Day 1 in Gisborne.
We are off! Travelling the length and breadth of New Zealand and joining the annual Building Skills Maintenance (BSM) Roadshow. This popular event is a firm fixture on the building and construction calendar, as it calls in on 34 destinations right around the country. MATES were thrilled to be invited along this year and will be travelling with BSM Director, Dion Tapper.
Slade and the team will be sharing our General Awareness Training (GAT) in each town. The GAT introduces workers to the MATES suicide prevention programme by understanding the nature of the suicide problem and providing practical tools, as to how everyone can play a part to assist their mates.
MATES will be on the road through to the end of November, you can check out a full list of destinations below.
They are travelling in a very distinctive and stylish Campervan thanks to Jucy and will also be checking in with Foundation Partner Kainga Ora build partners along the way.
