MATES Homegrown Star Richie on Te Ao Māori

MATES Field Officer Richie in the spotlight

MATES homegrown star Richie has been busy in front of the camera, not only was he co-main star with Slade in our new mini series but he also recently appeared on Te Ao Maori News to talk briefly about MATES in Construction NZ and our work around Suicide Prevention in Construction.

Having set our foot in Tāmaki Makaurau near the end of 2019 MATES has been able to reach our industry with full force. Totalling more than 10,000 workers that have been through the MATES training programmes we’ve made a slight dent in our industry of 200,000 strong, however as Richie has said, “It’s working. I see the guys talking.”
