Meet Richie Hepi one of MATES in Construction Field Officers
Meet Richie, one of the MATES in Construction Field Officers.
Field Officer Richie has a background in education and has worked within Government agencies and also a number of private training establishments and community groups. He has also worked with Local Government in the area of Crime Prevention and Community Safety.
“I am looking forward to giving back to our people and supporting the Industry. I am fluent in Te Reo (Maori Language) and Tikanaga a Maori (Maori customs/traditions). I am passionate to help reduce our suicide rates among our Rangatahi (youth) and Maori and Pasifika people. However I also know suicide is not colour blind and impacts everyone from all walks of life and I am here to support everybody.”
Based in Auckland, Richie is the Relationships Manager between MATES and the Ghella Abergeldie Joint Venture (GAJV) for their Central Interceptor Project (CIP).
Richie loves spending time with his whanau and also has a great love for the NRL Telstra Premiership and Rugby League. His other great passion is golf which he plays most weekends. Richie is currently a Trustee member of his Marae in the Hokianga.
